Entering the Nursing Procedure Details for (non-residential)

  

 

Introduction

The nursing procedure page allows the doctors or nurses to enter the details pertaining to the procedures (surgical) performed on the patient during the stay at the hospital.


The Nursing Procedures tab is enabled for the following non-residential service selection:  

Entering the Nursing Home Details

Proceed as follows:

1 On the Nursing Procedures tab, enter the details as described in the following table:

Check box name

Description

Feeding Tube

Selecting the Feeding Tube check box, allows you to enter the following details:

  • Due for changing on (dd/mm/yyyy) on -- the date when the feeding tube must be changed.
  • Type -- the type of feeding tube.
  • Size -- the size of the feeding tube.

Urinary Catheter

Selecting the Urinary Catheter check box, allows you to select the type of urinary catheter and type the frequency.

Stoma Care 

Selecting the Stoma Care check box, allows you to select the following:

  • Tracheostomy
  • PEG
  • Colostomy
  • Ileostomy

Wound Care

Selecting the Wound Care check box, allows you to enter the following details pertaining to the wound care:

  • Type of Wound
  • Site
  • Dressing Type
  • Date of Last Change (dd/mm/yyyy)
  • Size
  • Frequency of change

To add the details pertaining to the wound care, click
Add.

Injection

Selecting the Injection check box, allows you to select the Type as one of the following:
a) IM

    You can enter further details:

  • Name of the drug
  • Frequency
  • Dosage
  • Last injection date (dd/mm/yyyy)


b) SC
   You can enter further details:

  • Name of the drug
  • Frequency
  • Dosage
  • Last injection date (dd/mm/yyyy)                      


To add the injection related details, click Add.

Other Procedure

Allows you to enter details pertaining to any other nursing procedure.

In the Completed By section, details pertaining to the user (role) who provided information on the nursing procedures is displayed

The user information (name, telephone no and so on) is based on the details available in the user’s profile.

Note

 

By default, the information of the user logged into IRMS is populated. The information (name, telephone number and so on) is based on the details available in the logged-in user’s profile.

When the nursing procedure page is ready, you can do one of the following:
  • Save -- to save the nursing procedure page as draft.
    This option allows you to save the draft that is partially populated or you do not want to submit it immediately.
  • Ready -- to save and mark the draft as ready to submit (indicated by flag in orange).

Note

 

The mandatory fields that are not entered properly are indicated with asterisks (**). A message is displayed on the top of the page to enter the required fields.

You cannot submit the page without completing the mandatory fields. Once the page is submitted (indicated by flag in green), you cannot modify the details.
